From Collaboration to Action: the MAP Oregon project
What is MAP Oregon?
Mapping Assets for Prevention (MAP) Oregon is led by Prevent Child Abuse Oregon, the Center for Childhood Safety and Wellbeing (CSAW), and Our Children Oregon (OCO). Together, we’re shaping a community-driven and connected prevention ecosystem. This work will:
Highlight what’s working by elevating local efforts that support families.
Identify barriers and spotting where resources are siloed or disconnected.
Help map a shared path forward via a cross-sector, locally rooted approach to prevention.
Support the bridging of local & statewide systems to ensure solutions fit community needs.
What are we up to?
After months of collaborating with partners to create and refine the framework for this project, including the creation and distribution of the MAP Survey, we have completed the final report for the first phase of this project!
We are working with our partners and funders to secure resources that will help us translate these materials into Spanish to increase accessibility and engagement in this project.
The outcome of this project won’t just be a final report that sits on the shelf. These findings and recommendations (shared by providers serving kids and families in their communities) will be elevated to the decision-makers and funders who are critical partners for sustaining this work that is vital to our communities. This project will inform our strategic approach to legislative advocacy and systems change initiatives.
