Child Abuse Prevention Month

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and a time to celebrate all the amazing work happening in support of children and families. This action month is an opportunity for us all to use our voices and rally around the opportunities we have to build healthier and safer communities, together. Join us in April and all year round as we strive to make child and family wellbeing a true priority in Oregon and beyond.

Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign

Prevent Child Abuse Oregon proudly supports the Pinwheels for Prevention® campaign, a national initiative led by Prevent Child Abuse America. This effort symbolizes the importance of childhood and the belief that every child deserves a healthy, happy, and safe environment to grow. We’ve partnered with American Business Solutions to make ordering materials for your local campaign easier and more cost-efficient.

Did you know?

April is also Sexual Assault Action Month! Prevention happens in partnership and we are proud to partner with the Oregon Sexual Assault Task Force (SATF) to help intentionally connect the dots between multiple forms of violence and abuse that share root causes. Join us for this year's “Growing Prevention Community Chats” series (March and April) where we highlight amazing prevention work happening all across the state.  Check out SATF's PreventionLand Youtube for clips from previous years, more excellent prevention resources, and opportunities to get involved!
