A Survivor Speaker panel will also be featured, offering a space for shared experiences and resilience.

This Child Abuse Prevention Month, we encourage our community partners, advocates, families, and neighbors to wear blue with us! Blue represents possibility, strength, and the future families deserve. Show your support for Oregon’s children and families by wearing blue! On the week of April 13th-17th, the Morrison Bridge in Portland will be lit up in blue for Child Abuse Prevention Month!

On April 14th, we invite you to come check out the blue lights with us during a family-friendly gathering under the Morrison Bridge to celebrate our communities, families and children of Oregon!

An in-person, 90 minute child abuse prevention training for adults who want to learn more about how to report abuse and keep kids safe.

Safer Together is a presentation aimed towards youth serving organizations, parents, and any other adults who want to learn more about the prevalence of child abuse and what they can do to prevent it. It focuses on three parts: knowledge and awareness, recognition and reporting, and prevention strategies. The presentation lasts approximately 90 minutes and guests are encouraged to participate in anonymous answers through QR codes and small group work at their own comfort level.

Healthy relationships begin with the everyday lessons children learn from the adults they trust. This workshop helps parents and caregivers start conversations early, building a strong foundation as kids grow.

Now in its 9th year, ¡Conéctate! brings together Latino-serving organizations, community members, faculty, staff, students, and community partners from across Eastern Oregon to engage with keynote speakers and interactive workshops focused on healing, storytelling, and community connection. Participants will also share practical approaches that support student persistence, leadership development, and long-term success.

Join advocates, survivors, artists, and service providers for a powerful gathering centered on healing, culture, and community. This year’s theme uplifts survivor voices and explores how art—through dance, poetry, visual arts, and music—can inspire healing, resistance, and transformation.

VOCES de la Comunidad is a bilingual event. Workshop presentations will be presented in either Spanish or English. Interpretation services will be provided.
